neuromodulators (botox, Dysport, Xeomin And Daxxify)
Neuromodulators, such as Botox, Xeomin, Dysport, and Daxxify are brands of botulinum used to soften and relax dynamic wrinkles, meaning wrinkles accentuated by muscle movement, such as those of the forehead, frown lines (‘elevens’)between the eyebrows, and crows’ feet, leading to a more relaxed, youthful appearance. Advanced neuromodular injection techniques in the neck can improve neckline contour, and in the masseter muscle can improve the contour of the lower face, and with jaw discomfort from teeth clenching or grinding.
The typical duration of wrinkle relaxation for Botox, Dysport and Xeomin is approximately 3 months. Daxxify, a modern neuromodulator using peptide technology, offers wrinkle relaxation of lasting approximately 6 months, about twice that of other neuromodulator brands. Neuromodulator injections may need to be repeated to achieve your goals and to prevent worsening and deepening of dynamic wrinkles.

HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS
Hyaluronic acid fillers have a proven safety record and are used for focused correction of hollows, wrinkles or folds that develop inevitably as the bony and soft-tissue structure of our faces recede, deflates and becomes more lax as we enter mid-life and beyond. Dr. Soon will discuss which products may be best suited for your particular goals, for example, RHA4 may be optimal for areas requiring structure such as the jawline or the cheekbone, RHA2 or RHA3, for augmentation of soft, thin-skinned areas, such as the lips, RHA Redensity for etched facial lines, or Restylane-L for under eye hollows. These products last approximately 1.5 years, and may need to be repeated to achieve your goals. We do everything possible to keep you safe and comfortable during the treatment, such as applying topical or local numbing medicine and the use of cannula for product placement.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels use solutions to injure the skin in a controlled fashion, and result in significant improvement in skin color (for example, brown spots such as lentigos and melasma), acne and blackheads, and skin firmness and wrinkling. Dr. Soon is an expert in the application of chemical peels, including salicylic acid, Jessner’s solution, trichloroacetic acid, and phenol-croton oil peels, not only for cosmetic purposes but also for medical treatment of pre-cancers (actinic keratosis). The treatment may need to be repeated to achieve your goals. We do everything possible to keep you comfortable during the treatment, such as applying topical or local numbing medicine or providing you with relaxing medication if necessary, we will provide you with pre-procedure and aftercare instructions.

Candela Nordlys, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-invasive energy-basedtreatment that uses intense pulses of visible light to treat bothersome redness (for instance, broken blood vessels, ruddiness, and rosacea), as well as pigmented age spots and freckling of the face, neck, chest and body. Light energy emitted by the Nordlys system is absorbed by specific skin targets, such as melanin and hemoglobin, and subsequentlyconverted into heat energy which damages these targets and hastens their removal from the skin. Recovery involves redness and swelling for 1-2 days followed by light peeling for approximately 1-2 weeks. Optimal results may require several treatments spaced 1-2 months apart. We do everything possible to ensure your comfort during treatment, including use of topical numbing cream or relaxing medications as necessary.

MicroneedlinG (with or without platelet-rich Plasma or platelet-rich fibrin matrix)
Microneedling is a procedure that uses an automated pen equipped with fine needles of varying lengths to microscopically puncture the skin several hundred or thousands of times, resulting in improvement in skin color, quality, pore size, acne scars, firmness and in hair density. Microneedling may also be used to increase delivery of certain molecules through the epidermis, such as platelet-rich plasma to increase hair density, improve skin quality, stretch marks, or pigmentation, or Sculptra(poly-L-lactic acid) to further boost the collagen synthesis effects of microneedling in skin toning or acne scarring. The procedure needs to be repeated monthly for several months, and is often used as part of a maintenance program to maintain your skin’s healthy, youthful quality.

VBeam Laser
VBeam laser is used to diminish bothersome skin redness by targeting flushing, rosacea, red spots and broken blood vessels on your face, neck, chest and body. VBeam pulsed dye laseremits a burst of light energy that coagulates these structures, while simultaneously protecting and preserving your normal skin. During the recovery period, you can expect 1-3 days of swelling and redness. Optimal results may require several treatments, usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart. VBeam laser also has a proven track record to assist in improvement of red, thick scars. If necessary, we may recommend topical numbing cream to optimize your comfort during treatment.
